Tryouts
Truck Stop 2010 is captained by Sean McComb, Keven Moldenhauer, and Brian Stout. We plan to attend 5 elite tournaments before the Club Series: Boston Invite, Colorado Cup, Emerald City Classic, Chesapeake Open, and the New York Invite. Our goal is to be the #1 team in the Mid-Atlantic Region, and to break the upper echelons of the elite Ultimate world: to be contenders in the semis at Nationals.
This year tryouts will include three mandatory events: Philly Invite (Bell Crack Classic) on May 15-16, a 1-day tryout on June 6, and an invite-only two day Combine tryout on June 12-13.
In addition, would-be Truckers are strongly encouraged to attend “big boy” pickup on weekends in May. It will give everyone a chance to have a little more exposure, to get used to playing with each other, and to gradually ease back into playing shape in a less structured environment. “Big boy” is informal, held on Saturday or Sunday in the greater DC or Baltimore area.
The Combine event will take place over two days and will focus on a variety of Ultimate-specific skill and fitness tests. Interested players should contact the 2010 captains at truckstopultimate@gmail.com with expressions of interest.

April 25 - DC area pickup (pickup times/locations pending field space; contact the captains to receive email updates)
May 2 - Baltimore area pickup
May 9 - DC area pickup
May 15-16: Philly tourney (mandatory)
May 22 - DC or B'more pickup
May 29 weekend: off for Memorial Day
June 6 - mandatory 1-day tryout, Baltimore area
June 12-13 - invite-only two day Combine tryout, Baltimore area
Final team decisions will be made the night of the 13th and communicated to the team by Monday the 14th.
